Uniswap Labs, in collaboration with the Uniswap Foundation and Certora, has announced an upcoming bug bounty competition focusing on the v4 codebase. The competition will begin on September 4th, 2024, and run until September 30th, 2024. Open to everyone, the competition encourages participants to submit vulnerabilities they discover in Uniswap’s v4 smart contracts.
Scope of the Competition
The competition specifically targets vulnerabilities in the following GitHub repositories:
- v4 Core Repository
- v4 Periphery Repository
- Universal Router
While the primary focus is on these areas, any bugs found in other smart contracts that could potentially put user funds at risk should be submitted through Uniswap’s bug bounty program.
How to Participate
To participate, interested individuals can visit the Cantina Competition Page, where the v4 Competition details will be posted once the competition goes live in September. The page will include information on the scope, final commit, and prize pool tiers.
Rewards and Conditions
The competition’s prize pool is funded by Uniswap Labs, the Uniswap Foundation, and Certora. Rewards will be given based on the severity of the discovered bug and the quality of the accompanying documentation. By submitting a vulnerability report, participants grant the Sponsors all necessary rights to validate, mitigate, and disclose the vulnerability.
Uniswap Labs and its partners will have full discretion over reward decisions, including eligibility, amounts, and payment methods. The full terms and conditions of the competition will be provided in the coming weeks and are subject to change at any time.
This competition offers a unique opportunity for developers and security experts to contribute to the safety and security of one of the leading decentralized finance platforms while earning rewards for their efforts.
